The room still hadn't been cleaned when I returned around 5 pm on the second day. The bed was undone and there were no fresh towels. I told reception, but they only brought fresh towels. The room and bed still weren't taken care of. I'd also asked by phone for slippers. The female receptionist with glasses said, “we run out,” without apologizing. When I asked at reception, they said they'd try to send some the next day, but nothing happened and nobody followed up. There were spider webs in the higher corners and hair in the shower. The cleaning felt slack, and the service and treatment weren't what I expected from this hotel.

I only stayed one night at Olissipo Oriente Hotel in Lisbon, but it was a very pleasant visit. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the buffet dinner had a good variety. It's a convenient base, a short walk from Oriente Station and close to the airport. For my early flight, the breakfast box the hotel provided was a big help. A handy choice when traveling through Lisbon.

Our junior suite was roomy, clean, and modern, with great blackout curtains and a quiet night's sleep. Breakfast had lots of choices, and the Wi-Fi was fast and stable enough for work. The location is handy, right on the main street near the train station. It was a five-minute walk to the mall and to the boardwalk, where there are restaurants and activities like the cable car. There's also a casino nearby, and the airport is about a 10-minute drive. The one disappointment was that the suite had no door separating the bedroom, so it was all one open space. We expected a separate bedroom.

During Web Summit, the hotel was handy for the arena, just a five-minute walk away, though downtown was a 30-minute drive. It was quiet and safe, and the rooms were clean. There was a bidet in the bathroom. A few things to know: there are no irons or ironing boards in the rooms. You have to take your clothes through the lobby to a small ironing room. The hotel doesn't offer umbrellas either. At check-in, we had to carry our own bags to the room, with no staff help or directions.

Breakfast even has an automatic pancake machine. A very good place to stay. The room's AC is a little tricky, with an on/off switch and a choice between cold and heat, but otherwise it was 100% perfect.
