The pictures don't capture how rough this place felt. On my trip to Portugal, this was by far the worst accommodation I've stayed in, and I wouldn't wish these apartments on anyone. There was hardly any natural light, with the windows facing the wall of the neighboring building, and you could hear everything through the walls. The area wasn't crowded with construction, either. The rooms had poor ventilation, so I had to keep the windows open. Some windows didn't work, and some had no curtains for privacy. The firm, uneven mattresses made the bed feel like a prison cell, though I've never actually been in one. The owner may sound nice in comments, but after booking, replies to requests were very slow. It was far too expensive for what was provided. After this first and last stay, I'd say it was worth no more than 15 euros a night. Do yourself a favor and avoid it.

I got to Lisbon at about 23:30 last night and took a taxi to the studio, but the lockbox code wouldn't work. I spent over an hour on a narrow, dark, empty street in a slightly dodgy area, trying to reach the owner. There was no answer, so at 2 in the morning I finally took a taxi to a hotel. Since then, the owner still hasn't replied to my WhatsApp messages. No explanation, apology, or response at all. Absolutely appalling. Stay away.

We only needed a short stay before our early morning flight. The studio was clean and cosy, just like the other one we stayed in three years ago. Communication was friendly and helpful, and getting to the airport was easy. They also get extra points for providing gluten-free snacks when I asked.

The host was easy to communicate with, the price was good, and the location worked well. The stay was okay overall, though a few things need attention. Only one gas burner worked properly, which made quick cooking difficult. The shower drain was clogged, but I think the host will fix it soon. I also noticed details like dead flies beneath the windows.
