The room was painfully uncomfortable, with a small bed and an old, outdated setup. The TV was tiny, and the very old air conditioner was so loud that I asked to change rooms. They refused because the cleaning staff had finished work, even though I told the front desk guy to come listen and he already knew how noisy it was. He said to turn it off once the room cooled down and that he couldn’t do anything. The remote was taped up, so most settings and the fan speed couldn’t be changed. My parents stayed here 12 years ago. When my dad joked that surely it had been renovated by now, after seeing the swimming pool out front, the front desk guy said nothing had changed. We should have left right then. In the morning, a female staff member at the counter was talking and laughing almost loudly enough to yell, and the road outside was noisy as well. I highly do not recommend this place.

I was stranded at the Lisbon airport for the night and needed somewhere nearby that didn’t cost too much. Residencial Terminus was there for me after midnight, within a 15-20 minute walk from the airport. Since I was only staying about 10 hours, the older gentleman at the desk gave me a lower price, and he also speaks Spanish. The room was nothing special, but nothing bad for around 50€. The mattress was firm, there was a small TV, and there weren’t many power outlets. I left my phone charging in the bathroom overnight, which wasn’t a big issue.

It’s good value to find a place like this near the airport, about a 15 minute walk away. Check the route from the airport beforehand, though, because it isn’t straightforward. From the departures level entrance, go around the round car park building, cross the street, turn right, and follow the street. The place has a calm, pleasant garden where you can sit and have breakfast, plus a pool to cool off in. The bed had a hard mattress. The old fat TVs have at least been replaced with modern flat screens. The atmosphere feels like it’s from the 60ties or early 70ties, a faded beauty that hasn’t been renovated much since. Not a good fit if you want modern style or good WiFi.

The room was shabby and horrible, with no power outlets. There was a tiny 12-inch TV from the 80ies stuck up on the ceiling. They said they were fully booked even though you could book online, and wouldn’t cancel, despite our confirmation saying cancellation should be possible.
