Vistas de Lisboa Hostel

The location was great, but I didn’t think the place was worth it. My private room was clean enough, while the bathrooms were quite dirty, with used bandaids and mould on the shower walls. Breakfast was very minimal, and the lobby and breakfast area had a bad smell.

The rest was fine, but the room and toilet had such a strong cleaning-chemical smell that I couldn’t sleep properly and it triggered my asthma. I kept the windows open for hours to get fresh air, but the odor was still too much. I wouldn’t recommend it. I considered asking for a refund and finding another hostel for the second night, but unfortunately they don’t refund. Never again.

Our rooms were small, but the beds were super comfortable, which was all we needed. Since there weren’t many guests, we had no trouble with the shared bathrooms, and they stayed squeaky clean. They also gave us complimentary water bottles and a small bottle of delicious rosé wine. The location is unbeatable, close to public transport and lots of tourist spots. It’s a busy area, so it can get really loud late at night, but that didn’t bother us. There’s no AC, though opening the windows let in the fresh Lisboa air. Breakfast starts after 8am. I know opinions differ, but we had a great experience.

The team were friendly, and breakfast turned out unexpectedly great. It’s fairly central, so the streets may be noisy at night. The price is reasonable, and I thought it was worth it.
