Host'Bell Rooms & Suites

After an overnight bus ride, I arrived in the city for the first time feeling exhausted and rang the bell early. A rude man leaned out of an upstairs window and told me to come back after 2, saying I couldn't come in. They don't store luggage, and check-in is very inflexible. It's a horrible place, and I wouldn't recommend booking if you'll arrive late or have hours to wait after checkout. You'll be hauling your bags over the city's rocky, hilly streets. I've never come across another hostel that doesn't offer luggage storage. Outrageous.

They were inflexible about luggage and impolite, with no respect or professionalism. After I canceled my second stay because they used one of my cards without consent, they didn't give my money back. My worst hostel experience. They look good, but they also exploit immigrants in their rooms. Be careful with this property.

Two months after canceling my reservation, I still hadn't received my money. I had to get Booking.com involved, though they apparently don't communicate with them either. Several reviews say this is common practice at this hotel. I'd avoid it.

I booked with free cancellation, but they charged my card and never refunded the money even though I canceled before the policy deadline. Don't book here if you might need to make changes. They were unresponsive and seemed to pretend they couldn't speak English. Completely unacceptable.
