The wine was so good we left with a box, and the winery tour made the stay even better. We’d arrived at the farmhouse with hardly any warning, but they welcomed us warmly and put on a superb dinner. A really genuine Portugal experience. A must if you love wine and need somewhere to stay.

We loved our stay ❤️ The food was really good, and the service was fantastic. A lovely lady greeted us when we arrived, and our host took great care of us. I wish I could give this place many more stars.

Dinner and breakfast are available if you ask, and dogs are welcome. Manuel and Maria were very welcoming and happy to show us around their beautiful little winery, about 10 km south of Chaves. There are only a couple of motorhome spaces, with just a toilet for facilities, which is why I’ve taken off a star. They said they might build a shower block if demand grows. I’d contact them directly before planning to park there. Watch out for the signposted route: the hill is so steep that we bottomed out. The next turn into the village is a better way in.

We had a welcome drink and a tour of the vineyard and beautifully restored casa, with its stunning rooms and six bedrooms available for guests. The hosts were so welcoming, and the whole place felt like a calm, quiet piece of paradise. We’d booked through Portugal Easy Camp and parked overnight in our motorhome. The wine was delicious too. Thanks for a very memorable visit.

The farmhouse has been renovated beautifully to a very high standard, and the owners showed us around and explained the winemaking process. They were so friendly and happy to help with anything. We parked our motorhome on the drive at the hotel, though in summer you can park among the vines. It’s a lovely, peaceful setting. We bought some very good wine and will definitely stay again when we’re back in this beautiful part of Portugal.
