Hotel The Lince Braga

The restaurant really stood out, with lots of tasty food choices and a wide range of drinks at very reasonable prices. There are plenty of soft seats, big TVs, a large pool table, and cozy wood burner fires around the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was great, and there were lots of extras too. We booked at the last minute after Expedia cancelled our stay ten minutes before check-in, never again! The hotel is about ten minutes from Braga town centre, and we were glad we found it. We were in the city most of the time for an event, so didn’t get to try the spa.

It’s quite remote, though having a car makes Braga easy enough to reach. We came in the off season, so it was very quiet, which we liked. The spa area is lovely, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay :)

We stayed for three nights and would gladly come back. The place was very quiet, with free parking right out front, and the city centre was about 15 minutes away by car. Our large, clean second-floor room looked over the pool and had comfortable beds. The hotel has recently been completely renovated, though a few small works were still going on. We liked the elegant, cozy design and atmosphere, much as shown in the official photos. Breakfast was very good. The spa was okay, and there’s a small gym, but the huge, super clean pool was our favorite. It seemed about 20 meters long. On our departure day the water wasn’t as clean, turning green over time because most people don’t shower before using the pool. Maybe signs would help. In mid-August 2025, the price was 130 euros for two people including breakfast, which felt like great value. A few things could use improvement, though nothing major: the bathroom needed more light, breakfast items had no labels, the internet connection was really bad, and breakfast started 15 minutes late. Since the hotel had just opened, I understand these things may take time to settle and get fine-tuned. There’s also a wine bar serving some food, including pizza, salads, and tapas, plus drinks. We didn’t try it, maybe next time.

We’d be happy to come back to The Lince Braga. It’s tucked beside the forest in a quiet spot, yet close to Braga. The hotel is beautifully renovated and very clean, with a pool, spa, and gym. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and we especially liked the delicious breakfast coffee served with a kettle. The staff were professional and friendly. They also took great care helping me get back my AirPods after I’d forgotten them. Really lovely service and hospitality.
