Vila Valverde Design Country Hotel

We spent 10 days here to relax, recharge, and have a good base for exploring. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always glad to help. The food and service were excellent. A big thank you to everyone who helped make that kind of stay possible.

There are plenty of places a short drive away for food or exploring. At the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I had a good range of breakfast choices despite my gluten and dairy intolerance. I was lucky to visit during a quiet spell, which suited me perfectly. If you want peace, privacy, and a chance to unwind among lovely landscaping and nature, this is the place.

The gardens are spacious and well kept, and guests have their own access. The pool is small, but with only 15 rooms it never felt crowded, and there were comfortable Balinese-style loungers. The lobby has gorgeous decor. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable, with a pleasant, spacious shower, though its decor didn't fit the hotel’s overall style very well. The hairdryer was poor quality for a five-star property. We also found a serious ant problem in the hallway by two rooms, including ours. Staff tried to help after we reported it, but they knew about an ongoing infestation. It needs sorting out, since ants were getting into our room and even our luggage. Despite that, we had a wonderful stay.

The hotel’s design and comfortable spaces made it feel relaxing and inviting, and the waitresses were so warm and welcoming that we felt right at home. Breakfast was free, with a great range of delicious things to start the day. We had an amazing two-night stay and would definitely return. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, comfortable stay.
