We’re staying here now, and the studio is gorgeous. Luis is around whenever we have a question. My wife Sian Williams and I would happily come back again and again. It’s excellent value, too.

Getting to the beach takes about 15 minutes on foot, and the bigger bus stop is roughly 10 minutes away. There’s also a supermarket just around the corner and free parking up the street. Inside, the place is spotless and stylish, with everything we needed, including a kitchen and Netflix. The host was really friendly.

Having breakfast on the terrace was a pleasure, and the apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with pots, dishes, glasses, and cleaning products. We could do laundry and clean up when needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had towels, toilet paper, and soap. The grounds were tidy and felt safe. Luís was always cheerful and helpful, answering questions quickly and clearly. He pointed us toward interesting places in Madeira and suggested a great rental car, which we could park beside the apartment. We had everything we needed for a relaxed 11-day stay. The location worked well: the airport was a 10-minute taxi ride (€12), the beach a 15-minute walk, and a large shop and bus stop were seven minutes away on foot. WiFi was really fast, and the Android TV let us watch Netflix and YouTube from our phone. 10/10, I recommend it!

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely, and the host was polite and professional. The kitchen was much less equipped than I expected, though. I missed having an oven, along with a few cooking and cleaning supplies, and there was no shower gel or shampoo. Still, it’s a very good apartment if you mainly need somewhere to have dinner and sleep.
