The tasty breakfast had plenty of local foods, and the hotel also felt like a good fit for a longer stay. I had my own kitty there, too 🫶 The location is great, right by the ocean, with cozy indoor and outdoor common areas to spend time in. The staff were nice, and everything felt peaceful and just right.

Petra is an incredible host, and the staff are friendly and know their stuff. The location is perfect and the service was beyond impeccable. I can’t say enough good things about my stay, and would suggest considering this place for a visit to Pico.

It’s easy to walk into town or to the ferry terminal from this lovely, friendly place. We had delicious breakfasts with local produce, and being able to use the kitchen to make our own meal was a nice extra. The decking beside the dining room was a wonderful spot to relax. Perfect.

We loved the interior design and the breakfast so much that we extended our stay. The owners have clearly put a lot of love and attention into the details, and the place, the owners, and the staff left us speechless. Across the street are the island’s largest wine producer, with several tasting times each day, and one of the best restaurants we’ve been to, A Tasca o Petsica.

Petra and Edna were warm and helpful, and the dining room had a peaceful view. The place was quiet and clean, and breakfast was delicious, with local products, homemade jams, and honey. I’d love to return to Calma do Mar someday. Highly recommended!
