Quinta de Santo António - Country House & Villas

The hotel itself was great: lovely, accommodating staff and clean, very nice rooms. But we got married at the Quinta two weeks ago, and the wedding was catastrophic. The place is beautiful, but the planning was a disaster. They told us things were included, then a week before the wedding said they weren't. Worst of all, we didn't get the food we'd ordered. The pictures show what we were supposed to have on the left and what arrived at the wedding on the right. The food we ordered had been so good and high quality, but what we got was disastrous. I cried on my wedding day, which is very, very sad. It's a shame, because the staff are so nice. I can't recommend getting married there. It left us feeling like they just wanted to take money from people coming from abroad. Very sad.

We planned our wedding from overseas and took a bit of a risk booking QSA before seeing it in person. When we first visited, three months before the wedding, we knew we'd made the right choice. The setting, people, service and food left us blown away. Our guests told us it was the best wedding they'd ever attended, and QSA and its staff deserve a lot of the credit. Diana and everyone at QSA went above and beyond to give us and our guests a lifetime memory. They helped make our vision real, even when it was vague, happily handled niche requests and spent as long as needed on the phone with us. They were always kind and welcoming. Diana, Chef David, Beatriz, Joana and the rest of the team, thank you so much. We can't wait to visit again.

After a long road trip from France, we spent two nights at this beautiful villa. The villa itself was quiet and calm, and we got a proper rest and recharge before heading back on the road. The food and service at the restaurant were great too, and we had a lovely time there. There's a bar called Foz by the river, where you can get drinks and snacks with a magnificent view. Unfortunately, the service there was zero stars, if I could give it that. The waiter didn't seem to care about the guests. We felt bad walking in, as if we'd interrupted his rest, and he didn't seem to care what we asked for. Be aware before deciding to go. Apart from that bar, I'd recommend the villa for a short getaway.

The blend of traditional and modern decor gives Quinta de Santo António a real sense of class. The atmosphere is lovely, and I felt safe and comfortable throughout. It's close enough to the city to be convenient, yet far enough away to leave everything behind. The views are mesmerizing and really take your breath away. The staff are professional, warm and welcoming, and seem genuinely happy to work there. The restaurant and bar both serve delicious food, each a special experience. With impeccable service and food as the cherry on top, this is a wonderful place to unwind. It has a Padel court too. Quinta de Santo António is now one of my favorite places, whether for a vacation or a weekend away. I'll definitely come back soon. If you're visiting Portugal, it's an unforgettable experience.
