Casa Rietsch

We stayed here at the end of our cycling trip, and it couldn't have suited us better. There was a safe place for our bikes, the room was fantastic, the shower really invigorating, and the bed just right. You're only 2 minutes from the heart of Matosinhos, with easy public transport to Porto's historic centre or a healthy walk if you prefer. The hotel and restaurant prices in Matosinhos are very favorable compared with Porto. We loved having breakfast in the rear garden courtyard.

A beautifully restored old house with sparkling clean rooms and a breakfast courtyard, all under Eugenio's personal care. It's an ideal base for exploring Porto. The metro and 500 bus stop right outside, and the airport is just 10 minutes away by taxi. As good as any hotel.

The rooms are neat, and the location is central but quiet. Everything from a supermarket to the bus and metro is about a 5-minute walk away. The staff are friendly and helpful, and things are very well organized.

After walking the Camino, I loved being able to relax at Casa Rietsch. The room was quiet, the bed was amazing, and it was always clean when I came back at the end of the day. The beach, public transport into Porto city centre, supermarkets, and nice restaurants are all close by. There's also a bus to the airport just around the corner, and you can rent an E-Bike. Eugenio was a super nice, kind host who was always available for questions. Breakfast was superb, and I especially loved the morning cake. This is the best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed in. I totally enjoyed my time here and highly recommend it. Thanks to the entire staff of Casa Rietsch.
