There’s a little outdoor patio with a hammock, and a cafe just steps away for a morning espresso. The place is really cute and in a great location, with a lovely owner. It was just the right size for my two parents, my brother and me. You can tell the owners put time into the small touches that make it feel like a home away from home.

A good spot for a short stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are several table games in the lounge. I didn’t like that the bedrooms had no windows, though. I felt short of oxygen during the night.

This is a really pleasant place, with everything I needed for a stay in Matosinhos. I’ve stayed in the area more than 10 times, and this one has been my favorite so far. I’d choose it again on a future trip.

The owner was attentive and very friendly, and we’re planning to come back. The ground-floor apartment is spacious and well kept, with two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a large bathroom with a shower, and a terrace at the back. There were all the utensils we needed to make meals. It’s right in central Matosinhos, close to the metro, which takes about 20 minutes to Porto. The house number is 740, as shown on the business card I posted, so you can enter it in your GPS.

We could leave the car and get around on foot, since everything is close by. There was always parking near the house, too. A main avenue nearby has restaurants, a grocery shop, and other local businesses. The little house was welcoming and had the basics we needed. I had no complaints about the place or anything else during my stay.
