Quinta Dos Tres Pinheiros

I’d happily come back. The staff made sure I had enough to eat as a walker, and when I left before 6 am they arranged some breakfast for me. The dining area and reception were excellent, and the staff were friendly and knew their stuff. The rooms were good, just not excellent. They could use charging sockets with USB ports for phones and laptops. I also admired the mullet.

The rooms were okay, but basic and in need of some maintenance, and dinner was good. The problem was an all-night party or rave: music blaring, people running around yelling and throwing things. The phone in the room didn’t work, so I couldn’t even call reception. Worst hotel in Portugal.

I went in December, so maybe the hotel wasn’t at its best. Our room for four was spacious enough, but not very clean, and it was really cold. It took hours to get warm using the A/C. Breakfast was included and good.

Good location, good food, clean room, and friendly staff. It’s more like a motel than a five-star hotel, but it does what it sets out to do well. I’d stay again.
