Melgaço Alvarinho Houses

We first came in winter and returned in summer, and it's a marvel. The house is spacious, spotless, full of natural light, and has every comfort. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. Nature surrounds the place, with beautiful, relaxing views and the sound of a little stream. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a portable barbecue too. The pool uses a natural filter without chemicals, which is a plus for us with a young child. If you rent both houses, two large families can gather in the big shared room between them, which also has a fully equipped kitchen. Parking is easy. It's near Spain and Melgaço Whitewater, where you can arrange rafting on the Minho River, and enjoy excellent white wine from Quintas de Melgaço. We'll definitely come back!

These modern houses sit in a peaceful spot with views that seem to go on forever. Inside, they're comfortable, with tasteful modern decor. The pool is about a three-minute walk away, but it's well worth going for a swim and enjoying the lovely surroundings. Definitely recommended.

It's a peaceful place, thoughtfully put together, with a warm welcome. The minimalist modern style pairs cool concrete with warm wood, and the decor makes the space feel very comfortable. The host is kind and helpful. Both houses are well equipped with everything needed for a few well-earned days of rest.

We visited the estate over Valentine's Day weekend. The place is fantastic and very quiet. The house was well equipped, nicely decorated, welcoming, and comfortable. We loved it, and the owners were very friendly. I highly recommend it.
