The room was spacious and clean, with a great view of the Douro valley. Breakfast was very good, and the pool was in excellent shape. The downsides for me were the reception, which didn't feel very welcoming, and the lack of English communication. We felt a little like intruders, though the language issue wouldn't be a problem if both sides were willing to communicate. There was no shower gel or water in the room, which felt lacking for over 90 euros a night. The sign from the road is hard to see, and we drove past the place twice. We stayed for one night. There are better options in this price range.

The room view was lovely, and the room itself was clean. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, though the bathroom was only almost clean, with strange marks on the sink, floor, and toilet. There was no shower gel or shampoo, and the room felt like a dorm, with very bare decor. The owner didn't speak any English and didn't try to communicate. They also seemed annoyed when we wanted to sit on the balcony with coffee and watch nature wake up. At almost 100 euros for one night, it felt far too expensive. This was my most disappointing stay in Portugal, mainly because of the owner's behavior.

The pool area is really nice, and the rooms are clean and roomy with amazing valley views. The location is good, though it's a bit farther from the vineyards you can tour. There are some nice local restaurants nearby. Breakfast could be better, since everything offered was sweet. There wasn't any coffee or tea in the rooms either.

Lovely surroundings, and it was good value overall. The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable, and there was no washer or dryer despite it being advertised.
