We spent two nights there at the beginning of September, and the place looked nothing like the advert. We expected a proper guest house, but instead found ourselves in a building above a mechanic shop and a fast food chicken place, with noisy evenings. Our window looked straight onto the restaurant. There were lots of ants in the room, and the shared kitchen was a mess. The accommodation wasn't worth the price. It's in a very remote spot with no decent places to eat or see. I wouldn't recommend it.

I stayed at Bela Alexandra for two days at the start of August 2018 with two friends from Spain. Everything about the stay was excellent, and Alexandra, the owner, greeted us with a lovely smile. Breakfast was very good and complete, and the room setup and bathroom were first class. The garden tables and pool were good enough. The flowers and plants, and watering in the adjoining area, could perhaps use a little more care. Thanks for a pleasant stay. I'd come again. RECOMMENDED.

Alexandra speaks English, which was a big help, and she was a fantastic host. She helped us translate, suggested places to visit, and even ordered and collected food from nearby restaurants when our flight arrived late at night. If we ever return to the south of Portugal, we'd definitely stay there again 😀.

I'm so glad I found this guest house. The owners are really helpful, and it's cleaned every day. The bed is very comfortable, the shower is large with great pressure, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The kitchen is always clean and has everything you need. The pool is really good too. I'll keep coming back, it made my holiday so much better. You do need a car to get to and from the place, but it's really great here.

The owner was so kind and honest, and the atmosphere felt exceptionally warm and family-like. The unusual spaces make it easy to truly relax. I recommend it!
