Casa Flor de Sal

What made Casa Flor de Sal especially memorable was Laurent’s care for his guests. His wife was away while we were there, so we only met him, but he went out of his way to arrange activities, take care of little requests, and think ahead about what we might need. The rooms were comfortable, tastefully decorated, very clean, and had everything a family might need. The gardens are beautifully laid out, and we had a wonderful week there in August. We all loved the pool, and found it easy to relax and unwind. Thank you, Laurent!

We came back for a second time this summer and spent three weeks in this welcoming, beautiful place. The resort is thoughtfully designed, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the little shop has a lovely selection. We enjoyed choosing between two pools and the natural pond for swimming or SUP. Laurent and his family are kind, generous, thoughtful hosts who are always ready to help in ways that feel personal. We left relaxed, recharged, and with unforgettable memories. Thank you, Laurent. Laurent and Alexia made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The houses are nicely furnished, everything is well maintained, and we didn’t miss a thing. The thoughtful service included a stocked fridge on arrival, fresh bread each day, excursion updates nearly every day, and a 24/7 shop for ice cream, water, and drinks on trust. There are two swimming pools, a natural pool, and two lovely storks. It’s a peaceful, beautiful resort, though you need a car to get there, there’s no restaurant nearby, and you should expect the occasional mosquito since it’s in Ria Formosa, a natural area. The best time of day was after the kids went to bed, when we could enjoy a glass of wine and the view from our private roof terrace. Laurent and his family went out of their way to make our stay memorable, and we can’t wait to book again. Their place combines the space and independence of an apartment with hotel comforts like daily cleaning, breakfast service, yoga classes, private boat tours, and local activity recommendations on the first day. The seven apartments share three pools, two small playgrounds, and a shaded play and yoga area. Beaches, restaurants, and shops are only 10 minutes away. The houses are well equipped with high quality items, including sharp knives. A beautiful choice for families and couples.
