Hotel Rural Senhora dos Remédios

This rural hotel is far from everything, so it’s really only a place to sleep. The staff seemed untrained, and the service felt very amateur. On arrival, the employees asked me to pay in cash, saying the card terminal had no network. Since I’d booked through Booking, that was an uncomfortable and unnecessary approach. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was a little neglected. Breakfast was total chaos, and once again the staff made things uncomfortable by asking for money while serving the meal. Everything felt amateur.

Good evening. This was my third time in Mourilhe, and I’ve stayed here each time. I have great affection for Padre Fontes, and the scenery is fantastic. I love the peace and quiet, but the cleanliness this last time was terrible. I found tampons under the bed, hair in the bathtub, rat poison scattered around the room, and more. Hygiene matters everywhere. This will be my last visit. The price is high for the conditions.

A pleasant, welcoming place with nature all around. It has a lot of potential and room to improve, though I didn’t like the mattress. It was badly worn, and I could feel the springs.

We loved it! The scenery is beautiful, and there are lovely walks nearby, with a guide available. It’s a one-of-a-kind spot in a really friendly little village, and a great choice if you want peace and quiet.
