I’ve been staying here for many years. The manor house and French gardens are fantastic and well maintained, and the surrounding forest is amazing too. In hot weather, the swimming pool is especially picturesque. There’s now a caravan park right at the entrance, with amenities including grey water facilities, power, showers, and toilets. A must.

The estate has a lovely forest that’s great for long walks, and it’s only about 10 minutes by car to the nearest larger town. Porto is around 30 minutes away. The hotel itself is beautiful, set on an old family estate. The hostess was incredibly welcoming, and my room had such thoughtful decor.

We loved the feel of the place, with its old walls and our spacious room. A huge garden surrounds it, making it a lovely spot to relax. Since it’s tucked away, it’s peaceful, though getting into town for dinner means a short drive.

The owners were very friendly, and the service area is excellent. The restrooms have a shower and toilet, but no electricity. At the entrance to the estate, they’re developing a campervan site with pitches marked by vertical posts, so take care when driving in. It’s a shame it’s close to the road rather than nearer the beautiful garden and house. The view isn’t great at the moment, although the road isn’t busy.

We brought our camper here and found it to be a beautiful spot. The owners were very friendly, proud to tell us about their farm, and showed us around.
