Right in central Montijo, the location is lovely. In the morning, open the windows to the twilight and skylight coming in, filling the room with light and giving you a boost to get up.

The place is old and dirty, and the shared bathroom was filthy. There’s no elevator to the third floor. This might do for someone stuck or homeless, but I wouldn’t recommend it to tourists.

The air conditioning keeps making odd noises.

The kitchen looked abandoned, with food left in pots on the stove and boxes of food scattered across the counter. The bathroom was awful, and the cupboard was full of damp and mould. My room was more like a storage space than a proper room: cigarette ends filled the window tracks and drawers, and the tobacco smell was so strong it was hard to breathe. I couldn’t close the wooden window because the television was blocking it. This haunted-looking place was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend it. Choose anywhere else, even sleeping in your car would be better.
