Hotel Lena Village

Parking was good, and the room was nice, although it overlooked the car park. The rest was a letdown. Pool towels cost €5 each, which is steep, and the signs to the indoor pool weren’t clear. The breakfast room is indoors, facing the bedroom entrance or a wall, and it’s poorly designed. For the extra cost, breakfast was poor: no milk or yogurt, cold eggs, bacon that looked undercooked, and no black tea. We skipped it. The nata pastries and croissants tasted old and didn’t seem to have been made that day. One of the worst breakfasts I’ve had in Portugal, and I’ve stayed in over 20 hotels here over the years. The indoor pool was okay but very busy, and guests should be staggered. The jacuzzi didn’t work fully, and the steam room seemed faulty, far too hot and steamy, so we couldn’t see each other inside. It also shuts at night.
