The air conditioning was the one good thing about my stay. I understand the location is excellent for the beach, though the cable car is a bit farther away. Still, the soundproofing needs serious work. I stayed just one night, thankfully, and slept badly because of the noise and uncomfortable bed. At €120 in August, the price felt unacceptable for what you get, though it costs less than half that at other times. In its current state, I can’t recommend it, even for a very short stay. There’s rarely anyone around, so to check in you have to ask at the bar next door, which I understand is also owned by the family. The staff clearly don’t care about guests, and it shows in the room: the bed was uncomfortable, the shower was sandy, there was dust on the headboard, the mini-fridge was noisy, the outlets were far from the bed, and there was no hair dryer. There was no welcome kit in the bathroom either, just family-size soap and shower gel shared by all the guests. The bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable. This “residencia” is basically a rooming house. They’ve split the building into multiple rooms for rent and spent as little as possible on furnishings and amenities, which are minimal. There’s no elevator, and noise carries badly between rooms and from outside.
