Just a few moments from the historic center, this is a stunning, dreamy house, full of charm and exceptionally cozy and well equipped. José Maria was warm and welcoming, and always there if we needed help. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable and homely! Highly recommended 🙏

A great place to stay inside the castle walls. The only downsides were no air conditioning in the height of summer and the church clock bells, which were a bit loud. They do have earplugs available.

We felt really comfortable in this little holiday home. It’s been lovingly renovated, with lots of attention to detail, and Jose is an exceptionally nice host.

I’ve stayed in this welcoming house several times, and its interior is both original and practical. There’s internet access and a kitchen, though if you’d rather not cook, the location in Nisa’s historic center makes it easy to reach good restaurants with wonderful local food. The region is fantastic for enjoying nature, with places like Portas de Ródão and the conhal, where gold was “extracted” during the Roman occupation. It’s a fishing area, with the Fratel dam in the background and Spain just a short distance away. And a final word for Sr. José Moura: he’s an excellent, capable host and one of the people who knows the region best, so his tips are well worth taking seriously. I highly recommend it.
