We liked the place, but the fireplace didn’t work properly and filled the house with smoke. We had to wait outside for an hour in 4-degree weather for it to clear. The TV has no remote, and the box doesn’t work. I was expecting a call from the owner today to ask how things were, but nothing. Apart from all that, everything was okay.

We chose this place because of the positive reviews and didn’t regret it at all. It’s a wonderful quinta with lovely staff and a beautiful setting. There’s a great pool for those hot Alentejo days, pleasant green space to walk around, and animals like dwarf goats, donkeys and ponies. The owner welcomed us in person, and Sr. Pedro made us feel free to enjoy the quinta as we pleased. The breakfast was divine, with a decent variety, and the outdoor area is great for a meal with friends. We liked everything overall.

We loved the experience. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and somewhere to rest, this is an ideal spot. It’s also great that they welcome pets without making distinctions based on size or breed. The staff were friendly and helpful, so a big thank you to everyone who works there. A few suggestions: breakfast could have more options, especially scrambled eggs, since there are chickens on the quinta. The bathrooms by the pool could be cleaner, and the quinta could use more lighting at night so we could enjoy the grounds after sunset. Without lights, it gets tricky. Apart from that, five stars. We’ll definitely come back.
