A lovely place to stay in the countryside, and I’d definitely recommend it. The owner is kind and seems keen to keep improving things, though there’s still some room for improvement.

The town is lovely, and the renovated stone house is really cute. It can feel cold because of the stone, though the heating is adequate. The kitchen is small, and the upstairs bed is so close to the ceiling that we slept in the downstairs room instead.

The location in the village of Nordeste was really convenient, and we enjoyed the house a lot. It matched the photos, with a double bed, a single bed, and a crib. There’s a fireplace with some firewood, plus private parking. The kitchen has dishes and utensils, a ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and a few seasonings. We never met the owner, Mr. Emanuel, but he was very friendly and available by phone, answering questions and giving us any directions we needed.

You can see the sunrise over the sea right from the bedroom window. The welcome was warm, and everything was clean and well organized. Casa da lareira next door is just as good.
