The waitress was so kind and helpful. I came here just to eat Galo Capão, a traditional regional dish, and it was prepared amazingly well. If I make it back to Sao Miguel, I’ll definitely return for the Galo Capão.

It’s our last night here, and we’re sad to leave such a beautiful place. The room is clean, breakfast was tasty, and the chef did a great job. Everyone at the front desk and restaurant has been really friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our stay so lovely!

The room was lovely, clean and spacious, and the enormous 2x2m bed was incredibly comfortable. I did find it strange for a 4-star hotel to provide paper cups for tea. It’s a small thing, but it stood out against the otherwise high standard. The pool and sauna share one room, so trying to relax in the sauna or steam bath with noisy, screaming children around was really difficult. When renovating, you might consider a separate entrance or something similar. The Finnish sauna wasn’t working while we were there because some parts were being shipped from the mainland. Please make that clear on your website and on booking.com until it’s repaired, since some guests may choose the hotel specifically for the Finnish sauna. At breakfast, the coffee machine is tucked away, so it’s not obvious that coffee can be ordered. There’s a printed menu listing three egg options, and making it a little bigger with a note about requesting coffee could help. Something as simple as “Please let us know your coffee preference” would make things clearer. You have a lot of potential as a distinctive hotel in Nordeste, especially as the only one in the area. I loved the sea-washed wood frames and their display of sustainable craftsmanship, and you clearly care about local artistry. You could bring sustainability into your branding more and highlight locally produced food. You might also reconsider the industrial frozen bread. The setting could inspire activities like morning yoga in the patio behind the pool, a run to the lighthouse, or a workout in the garden. There’s so much potential to offer guests an experience connected to nature and local culture. Be sure to showcase it.

The view is amazing, and the place is lovely. The indoor pool is small, warm, and useful. The sauna was out of order. Our large apartment smelled really musty, and the kitchen could use more equipment. It had only three glasses for four people. Breakfast was very good quality.
