Pousada Vila de Obidos - Charming Hotel

The hotel was roomy and very nice, and it's close to everything. Everyone was friendly. There’s no coffee at the hotel, though they do offer tea. Cafes nearby had coffee for around 2€ each. There’s no parking inside the wall, but a large, free gravel lot sits a few blocks away behind Luciano cafe. It was an easy walk.

Great location, with everything within walking distance and lots of restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were very kind and friendly. If you're using public transport, the bus station is right by the hotel.

This was a really lovely stay in a well-loved Pousada. I've nearly finished staying in all the Pousadas, and this one was very nice. The room was comfortable, with lovely beds and linens, and the place is quaint and conveniently located in town. Adriana at reception was very nice and professional. Reception opens at 2pm. I'd love to stay here again. Breakfast is no longer included and costs €20 per person. In the off-season, I think it's held at the Castelo Pousada, a bit of a hike away. Dinner is definitely there too. Since we're staying at the Castle the next night, we skipped breakfast. It would've been nice to have coffee in the morning, but we couldn't get the lobby machine to work and there was no one around to help. There were no coffee-making facilities in the room either. It's a very quiet time of year, so we found a lovely local cafe. Dinner couldn't be charged to our room either, which was a shame as a Pestana Club Honors member who gets points for those purchases. A few things I'd love to see added are robes, slippers, body lotion, and, of course, coffee.

Right by one of the smaller gates into the medieval city, this lovely pousada is tucked inside the castle walls. It’s peaceful, the room is beautiful and the bedding was excellent. Breakfast had a generous buffet, the amenities were great, and the staff were so helpful.
