There’s even a roof terrace, which was a nice surprise. This simple apartment unit is welcoming and comfortable, and it’s really clean. It’s right in the old town, just a short distance from all the amenities, and has everything you need.

The roof terrace was a great spot to unwind, though it can get a bit warm. My room was very clean and cleaned daily, and breakfast was a good self-service spread. The place is well situated near the port, markets, shops and bars. A great base for getting to know more of this beautiful place.

The rooftop is worth spending a couple of hours on, with excellent views over the city and beyond. The setup is comfortable and cosy. There’s a barbecue if you get hungry, but remember to bring your own food.

We spent the last two days of our break in Portugal at BJB Alojamentos in Olhao. Miguel & Lalitha, the owners, were a very friendly and welcoming couple. The accommodation was fantastic, and I thoroughly recommend it.

Everything was spotless, and breakfast had lots of options. The B&B is really central for getting around. I stayed here with my two sons, aged 11 and 13, and we had a fantastic time. Highly recommend it.
