Dinner and breakfast had limited choices, though the food was good, and the staff were lovely. The rooms are roomy but pretty Spartan, and the temperature felt a little too high. The mattress was good. Getting there is tricky, but the view makes the journey worthwhile. I had no mobility problems, though I can imagine it would be challenging for someone who does. A good spot to get away from everything.

That view is amazing, but there wasn't much comfort here. The old linen, pillows, mattress and towels were all very poor quality. We told the owner the wooden floor was constantly wet and smelled really unpleasant because of the heating system. He responded very defensively, saying it was normal and that we should get used to it. There was no real focus on the customer or their comfort. Honestly, the best part was getting back to our own sweet home ☺️

The hosts were so kind and did everything they could to make us comfortable while we were there for the Ultra Douro e Paiva race. The hotel is a little out of the way, but the views are beautiful and the modern rooms fit in well with the local community. I'd recommend making the detour.

The hosts were the best, and the meals, both breakfast and dinner, were really good. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a beautiful view from this lovely place. A perfect stay, highly recommend!

The owner and staff were such nice people. The hotel itself is beautiful, and staying there was a wonderful experience. Thank you for everything you did for us.
