Ovar Apartments

The city is peaceful and charming, and I'd happily come back. We had an awesome stay, with a delicious breakfast and staff who were kind and attentive. Free bike rental was the icing on the cake. A special thank you to Mrs Margarida, the kindest person ever! ❤ If I could give six stars, I would.

A pleasant stay for an affordable price, worth every penny compared with the other places we overpaid for that were less clean and comfortable. The rooms were clean, with a TV, mini fridge, patio, and comfy bed. Breakfast was acceptable, though the eggs and bacon could be better.

I checked out of Aqua Hotel Apartment 2 in Ovar very disappointed. At check-in I had to carry my own suitcase, and when I asked about breakfast, nobody told me it was included. I only found out two days later when I checked with reception again. Rain came through the bedroom light fixture and dripped straight onto my phone while it was charging. I slipped and fell, hurting my back. The hotel's only response was to come take pictures of the water dripping down the electrical cable. I still haven't even received an apology. The apartment was never cleaned between the day I arrived and the day I left. I ended up buying cleaning supplies at the supermarket and doing it myself. I'll never stay here again. It deserves minus four stars. I'll definitely look into what can be done about my phone and my fall.

The staff were fantastic, handling any question or request within seconds. NAIR was especially great, always helpful and smiling, and somehow does everything from massages to looking after the dining area. The whole team deserves recognition. We stayed for two weeks during Carnaval, right in the heart of the city. The room and dining area were very clean, and breakfast was very good.
