Aktion Beach House

The train station is right beside the hostel, and the beach and a shop are both about a three-minute walk away. We had everything we needed, from the fully equipped ground-floor kitchen, where my friend and I cooked every day, to clean bathrooms. The beds gave us a bit of privacy, and even in the full 10-person mixed dorm, we slept without being woken by noise. We stayed for a week and found it unexpectedly cosy and comfortable. Best hostel I've stayed in. Thank you, Nuno, for such a great experience!

The kitchen is roomy enough to cook in, though there isn't much fridge space, and I could only find one pan that worked on the induction hob. The rest of the stay was comfortable: the beds and bathrooms were generally clean, everything looked nearly new, and the service was friendly, with someone always at the door to help. The hostel is just off Parede train station, near the beach and not far from Cascáis. You can find what you need there.

The staff were friendly and kept everything clean throughout our five-day stay. The location made getting around easy: the beach is about 400 metres one way, and a supermarket and train station are roughly 200-300 metres the other way. Trains run between Lisbon and Cascais, both with plenty to do. From Cascais, I really recommend bus 404 to Sintra. Google Maps doesn't show it, and taking the train means going via Lisbon, which takes at least an hour and a half. The place was easy to find, and it exceeded our expectations.

A lovely spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and the location between Cascais and Lisbon was a real plus. I had a great stay.
