Casa de Vila Seca

We spent our evenings on the fantastic terrace, watching the sun go down. The house is in a really quiet spot, surrounded by lovely scenery and birdsong, and it's been renovated and kept in great shape. It had everything we needed for a few days away. The hosts left a welcome box with white Port wine, biscuits, and sweets typical of the area, and kept checking in to see if we needed anything else. One of our best stays for sure, and I'd highly recommend it.

There was room for both our car and van, and we always managed to get in and out on the first try. I don't think parking is difficult, and the lane itself is nothing unusual for a village, with very little traffic. The house has what you need for a great holiday, whether you're with family or on your own, including air conditioning and facilities for cooking over charcoal. Whenever I'm in the north, I'll stay here again if it's available. Huge congratulations to the hosts. Full marks!

The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, microwave, oven, and stovetop. It's a detached, welcoming house with two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a garage, a balcony, a terrace, and a patio. It's on Rua do Pendao, a very narrow street where only one car can pass at a time, though the two gates open inward and make parking easy. NaturWaterPark is very close, and Penso da Régua is about 20 minutes away. The village lies on both sides of the river and has several bridges.

Getting there by car takes a bit of care, but it's manageable. The place is peaceful, in a lovely setting, and very well equipped. I'd definitely recommend it.
