Quinta Da Estrada Winery Douro Valley

Walking through the vineyard and swimming in the pool added a lot to our stay. The rooms were lovely, clean, well stocked, and air-conditioned. Quinta de estrada is in a stunning setting, and the staff were very friendly. Dinner was a great experience thanks to Luis, the owner, whose passion and knowledge about wine and his vineyard really came through.

Getting into the courtyard parking is an adventure, it’s very narrow! The accommodation is simple but clean, and we slept well. Everyone was lovely, and we enjoyed the wine evening. Luigi explained the history, rules, and regulations around the wines with real passion. He said he doesn’t drink white wine and only has red with good food.

I got to join the crew picking grapes, something I’d always wanted to do. It was a quiet, peaceful Quinta with lots of lovely places for walks and hikes, and we’ll be back. The views over the mountains and valley were beautiful, even though it’s only a short drive from Regua. The staff were great and answered every question or request quickly and warmly. The wine tasting dinner was well worth the price. The vintner spent more time sharing interesting details than you’d usually get at a tasting, the portions to try were generous, and the meal was excellent.

Rex is the cutest dog ever ❤️ We felt at home because everyone was so kind. Luis gave us a fun, informative tour, and we really enjoyed tasting wine with him. A wonderful stay, highly recommend!
