We stayed in a two-bedroom “house” that worked perfectly for us. It’s an older place, and Pedro is still renovating some parts, but it’s within walking distance of everything. The kitchen is equipped for cooking your own meals. There’s also a shared spot to sit in the sun with a glass of wine. Breakfast was basic, but having it delivered in a basket at the back door was a nice touch.

We spent two nights here while travelling through North Portugal and enjoyed it a lot. The apartments sit a couple of stairs up, in a second row off the main street, so the area feels private. There’s a large terrace to relax on, which we used after our hike and tastings. We had apartment 6, with a small but distinctive bathroom tiled in natural stone. The beds were okay. Breakfast was great, and Pedro was very welcoming, quick to reply on WhatsApp, and helped with laundry and transfers. We didn’t have any trouble with barking dogs.

We liked it enough to add an extra night after booking two. It’s in a great location, with two decent-sized bedrooms, a properly equipped kitchen and a clean bathroom with towels. There’s also a lovely shared garden outside with a terrace. The host was wonderful, pointing out local sights and bringing breakfast each morning. We even got fresh fruit from the garden. We had a great stay.

Rita and Pedro are so warm, friendly and genuine. This was my second time in Pinhao, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The rooms are very clean and well equipped, and the delicious breakfast is quietly left at your door every morning.
