I spent a week here with a travel group, and the staff really made us feel at home. They're polite, calm, understanding, and always willing to help. A few times they even got breakfast ready ahead of schedule for our early flights or tours. Everything was spotless, and I have no complaints at all. The hostel is quiet, clean, and comfortable, with well-designed rooms and beds that have privacy curtains. The common areas are great, and the fully equipped kitchen has everything you'd need, including a toaster, coffee maker, and fridge. Each room gets its own basket for keeping groceries organized. A supermarket is a six-minute walk away, and the center is about ten minutes on foot. Before this, I spent my first night at another hostel, and it didn't come close. This place is a solid 10/10. If you're out hiking and exploring the Azores during the day and want somewhere clean and peaceful to relax at night, I'd highly recommend it. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

The breakfast was nice, and the beds were comfortable, with curtains, power and a light, plus a large locker. The dorm rooms are big, though I left quite disappointed after expecting more from the good reviews. The old building is very noisy when people walk around, and traffic on the busy street can be heard even at night. We didn't see any reception staff during our stay.

My first hostel stay as a solo woman traveler couldn't have gone better. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were cleaner than I'd expected, and the breakfast was lovely, with fresh bread, meat, cheese, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and condiments. The staff were friendly and helpful, usually around until mid-afternoon. It was pleasantly quiet during the day. In the evenings, other travelers came back from their outings, and there were warm smiles and conversations. I felt safe and was lucky to meet wonderful people from all over. Restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, and eclectic little shops are all an easy walk away. Thanks for an unforgettable stay!

The staff were amazing, and they kept the hostel clean every day. I also really liked the garden for catching some sun, the comfortable beds with privacy, and the nice breakfast, served at a good time to get the day started. It's right in the city center but away from the middle of the noise. The trouble was some of the guests, which isn't something the hostel could control. A group of teenagers took over the common area and were loud, so it was hard to enjoy it when they were there. They left dirty dishes even after staff had cleaned and asked them to be considerate in shared spaces. To be fair, it wasn't only them, most new arrivals seemed to leave the common areas and dishes messy too.

I stayed for ten days and felt completely at home. Raffael was so kind and thoughtful, and always happy to help. The small, caring details made the place feel really welcoming. Thank you, Raffael, for a wonderful stay ❤️ The hostel has a nice balance: spacious without feeling crowded, but not lonely either. The common areas include a couch and TV by the kitchen, a little garden with outdoor seating, and a cozy top-floor nook with books, an armchair, and a lovely view. It's very central, close to the sea and the center, with a bus stop nearby. There's parking out front, though finding a spot can take some patience. The bathrooms and shared areas are cleaned daily. The toilets and showers are clean and thoughtfully laid out. Breakfast has all the basics, oats, cereal, granola, fruit, bread, spreads, milk, and plant milk. The kitchen is clean and well equipped, and everyone gets a couple of baskets for food in the pantry and fridge.
