The rooms and shared spaces were spotless, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good breakfast was. It's amazing value if you book ahead, and worth the price. Just be aware that noise from the downstairs bar and the hall carries into the rooms.

The location was very central, and the person who checked us in gave us useful suggestions for nearby places to eat. Being able to leave our luggage there on checkout day was handy. The room had no AC, so it could get quite hot on warmer days. There was a makeshift standing fan, but it was too noisy for us to use. The mattress was too soft and dipped under my husband and me, pulling me toward him. The sheets were thin and cheap-looking, not giving a clean, comfortable feeling. They should invest in better quality sheets that aren't see-through. The furniture looked dated, and the chair was stained and dirty. We wouldn't recommend the breakfast at the accommodation: nearby places offer better for the same price or less. The shower took a long time to get hot, the bathroom sink tap splashed water everywhere, and the towels were stained and dirty, so we couldn't use them.

I really enjoyed my two nights in the studio and would come back. It's in a great spot, close to everything, though a nearby club can make it loud. We had to call for towels because there weren't any. They didn't bring fresh ones each day, which seemed odd.

Loved my few nights here. It's a great base for walking around Ponta Delgada.
