Eduardo, the manager, was so sweet and accommodating, and the beds were very comfortable. We were a group of seven and could book the whole upper floor for ourselves. Great guest house in central Ponta Delgado, with a great price. Highly recommend.

Maria was amazing, so warm and accommodating, and went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. Guest House Ao Mercado felt charming and homey, with everything we could need and then some, including freshly picked garden avocados. It was very clean and secure, with a door code for the building and a lock and key for the room and bathroom. We could walk to all the hotspots in Ponta Delgada, and parking was easy to find either on the street or in a lot one or two blocks away. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely come back on future trips to São Miguel.

The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable, and our host was wonderful. The place is right by the main fruit and produce market. The historic downtown was an easy ten-minute walk, with plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

Maria was such a lovely host at Ao Mercado. The new rooms were spotless, and breakfast was great, with local food. We had an early flight before breakfast, so she put together a lunchbox for us. That was so sweet, thank you! 6/5!
