Bella Casa Bed & Breakfast

The location was excellent, with great restaurants nearby and an easy walk to the city center. We especially liked Jardin Antonio Borges. My wife and I spent four nights here, and our room was spacious, nicely furnished, and had two balconies. Bela and Dave were wonderful hosts, and the breakfasts were varied and delicious. I’d highly recommend Bella Casa and would stay again.

Dave and Bella, the owners, were so welcoming and friendly. I really enjoyed chatting with them over coffee at breakfast, served from 8-10am. The brand new hotel is comfortable, well kept, convenient, and centrally located. It had basically everything we wanted in a place to stay. I’d highly recommend it if you’re visiting Sao Miguel.

Bella Casa was ideally placed for local attractions and great restaurants, and we hope to come back. My wife and I stayed four nights in June 2025, only a few weeks after the BnB opened, but everything already felt smooth and established. Bela and Dave were caring, attentive hosts. We were welcomed warmly, the breakfasts were delicious, and the rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained. They were also spacious and modern, with high-end finishes throughout the property. The whole stay exceeded our expectations.

We were glad we decided to book Bella Casa for our honeymoon, even though it had only just opened. Bela and Dave treated us like family from the start, and upgraded us to an available suite when they heard it was our honeymoon. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the location near the marina was great, and the hosts were kind and generous. We fasted from meat and dairy on certain days, and they made sure there were other options for us. They were also available whenever we needed them. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend Bella Casa, with plans to return.
