The apartment is fairly well furnished and close to parking, but it's cramped. To set up the extra bed, which doubles as a kitchen couch, you have to fold the very narrow table and hang it on the wall. Getting inside was frustrating: the pre-registration links didn't work, email replies were slow, and we had already paid before receiving access. We got only one key, which was awkward for three adults who didn't always want to head out or return together. Also, be ready for eight flights of stairs, loud street performers and partygoers, sometimes until 3 a.m., and lots of noise.

The apartment was a lovely base for a few days, with a central spot and everything close by. They left port and biscuits, and earplugs beside the bed. As described, it's a loft with no lift, so all those stairs may be a problem for some. Noise was the drawback: entertainment right outside went on late, revelers could be about until 3 a.m., and collections and deliveries started early.

The building is protected heritage property and has been renovated beautifully. There were thoughtful arrival treats, including two little bottles of Porto wine, cookies, and fruit. The kitchen had what we needed, plus a Bose Bluetooth speaker and a TV with lots of channels, including English movie channels for a rainy day. The key box was handy. To spot the entrance, look for the blue cat painting and AL sign since the street numbers are hard to see. Flores Lofts 1, 2, and 3 refer to the floors. The city noise takes some getting used to. People party on Flores until 3 a.m., while street musicians begin around 9 a.m., though the music is lovely. My friend had an ankle problem, so the six flights of stairs were difficult. The shower cabin is tiny too. If you weigh over 60 kg, you won't be able to get inside, and there isn't room to move your arms to wash your hair.
