We liked this place so much that we came back for another meal later in the trip. The onsite restaurant was very good, though dinner service only starts at 7pm and our food took a while. Its prices were about the same as eating out in the city. The hotel is new, with loads of room, and was especially good for our toddler. The pack and play was huge, had a nice thick real mattress, and plenty of space for my 35 inch toddler. We booked a room with two beds and two sinks, so didn’t end up using it, but it looked comfortable. There was also a big baby/toddler tub and a changing table. The living room was large, there was a terrace, and sliding doors let us separate the bedroom for privacy. Breakfast was nice, with eggs made to order, egg tarts, cheese, breads, pastries and fruit. The indoor heated pool was a hit, and there’s also a sauna and Turkish bath. The other hotel we stayed at, Octant, was great too, but this was our favorite because it had much more space.

After my flight from New York was delayed, I arrived a full 24 hours late, and the hotel I’d booked wasn’t going to let me stay. In high season, finding anything available was really difficult. The Delta was very accommodating: they let me book just the night before and stay until my next flight in the late afternoon. It was a lifesaver, and I’m glad I found it. It’s a beautiful hotel with easy access to the airport. The breakfast buffet was solid and the pool was lovely. I didn’t have time to try the spa, but I was told non-guests can pay 25 euros for a day pass to the indoor spa, which seems like a good option during a long layover if you don’t need a room to sleep in.

The room was perfect, though getting used to the balcony door took a bit of time. We had a great stay, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Delta Azores is a relatively new hotel in the city, not too far from the airport. I’d highly recommend it.

We stayed in a Junior Suite at this brand new hotel and really enjoyed it. There was a large balcony, and sliding doors separated the living room from the bedroom. The bathroom had two sinks, a toilet and a bidet. After a shower, it got wet and foggy because there was no bathroom fan, and the shower wasn’t fully enclosed, so water sprayed onto the floor. The suite included two robes, two pairs of slippers, a safe, mini fridge, clothes steamer, hair dryer, kettle with local tea bags, Nespresso machine with 4 pods, and two water bottles. The bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated. We paid for breakfast and liked the buffet, and free parking was available. I wish they’d put a garbage bin in the living room. The only one provided was a very small bin in the bathroom.

We were blown away by the service and the rooms. The ocean views were amazing, and the hotel itself was stunning. My wife, family and I also spent a day by the pool and got great service and food there. I’m very happy Marriott now has a brand on the island for us to stay at, and we’ll be back.
