Out of the Blue - Hostel

We were so sad to leave Out of the Blue, even more than we were sad to leave the island. Everyone we met was welcoming, and we loved the staff. The hostel is super cute, the breakfast is free and AMAZING, and it was a perfect base for exploring. Tom is the best, and we met so many great people. Best hostel ever!

Out of the Blue Hostel was such a friendly place, with guests of all ages from around the world, which made my dream week in the Azores even richer. Breakfast was really good, and Tom, Jessica and Gabriele at reception were lovely, helpful and welcoming. Tom's quiz night was a highlight, a fun evening full of laughs. I also really enjoyed the fascinating tours Rita and Marco organized, a great way to discover the Azores differently and learn the island's little secrets. I'd definitely sign up for them. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay. I'll be back!

I've travelled all over the world, but this hostel is still the first place I'd come back to. I loved it when I stayed in 2020, and returning didn't disappoint. Big love to Tom, Jessica, Marco, Bea and all the staff. They made us feel like family, even putting on a little open-fire garden party for people with birthdays or who were leaving. We sat around singing, eating and drinking together, and those are great memories. The hostel looked amazing and was spotless thanks to the cleaning crew. Berta, Carla, Catia and Beatrice were friendly and helpful, and the beds were so comfy and fresh. Sao Miguel is beautiful, and life in OOTB is the best. I'd give it more stars if I could!

Breakfast was off-the-scale good, with a big shared table that made it easy to meet people quickly. Staff have created a really friendly atmosphere, and Tom deserves a special mention for making guests feel so welcome. Everything was spotless, the bathrooms were good, and the location was handy for exploring Ponta Delgada. Very, very hard to leave!
