The room was a little small, but really comfortable, and the pool was a great bonus. The staff were the friendliest I've come across and always ready to help. Nice atmosphere and a great breakfast too. I'd absolutely recommend it!

The rooms are spacious enough, though I missed having a small wardrobe for rain jackets and hiking shoes after one of the daily showers. It would also help to have a door between the breakfast room and the staircase, so guests don't wake up with the first people having breakfast. It's a cute guesthouse with a small pool, about a 20 minute walk along the coast from Ponta Delgada city centre. The main road around the island is just a few minutes away by car, which makes this a handy base for exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was tasty, with a buffet spread. During the day there's a self-service selection of drinks and snacks, including beer, coffee and chips, at reasonable prices. Our room faced the countryside, but it was right by a small street. It was fairly quiet at night, though from around 6 a.m. lots of vehicles passed heading toward Ponta Delgada. Some buses and motorcycles seemed to be going closer to 80 than 40, so sleeping with the windows open could be disturbing. We enjoyed our time in Ponta Delgada and recommend the place.

We stayed eight nights and really enjoyed the delicious breakfast and amazing staff. They're helpful and can point you to the best places to visit. Just a note to the owner, please be generous with your staff, they're the best. It's just outside Ponta Delgada, about a 20 minute walk from the marina and centre. Parking was easy, and it worked well as a base for exploring Sao Miguel with a rental car.

Peaceful and private, with a clean, fresh, cozy feel. It's outside the center, but an easy walk into town. Breakfast had lots of choices and was served in a clean space. There's a cute little backyard pool, plus sunbeds upstairs, and free parking both at the front and back.
