Casa Senhora da Rosa

It's only our second day here, and the staff have already made a strong impression. They're polite, helpful, and genuinely attentive. At breakfast, a lovely woman from the breakfast area surprised my friend with a cake and candle for her birthday. It was thoughtful of the hotel to notice and make the occasion special. The room temperature is just right, the water pressure is great, and the AC and heater work very well. The Wi-Fi has been excellent, despite some reviews I read before arriving, so maybe they've improved the infrastructure. I rented a car, and parking hasn't been an issue so far.

The garden and outdoor spaces at Senhora da Rosa made it easy to feel connected to the Azores' nature. Some facilities show their age, but that didn't get in the way of a wonderful stay from beginning to end. The staff, from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant, were fantastic, friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to. We felt right at home. Our spacious room had a very comfortable bed, great after a long day exploring the island. The patio was a real bonus for sitting out under the clear night skies. The spa was peaceful, with access to the steam room and sauna for all guests, and the pineapple hot tub was a fun, unusual highlight. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, especially the local pineapples. There wasn't a huge variety, but what was there tasted great. A truly memorable visit. I'd happily give it 10/10 and recommend Senhora da Rosa to anyone visiting the island.

The pineapple greenhouse's hot pool was my favorite part. There's plenty of parking for a rental car, and this is a perfect place to stay after a long day hiking and exploring the island. The rooms are super clean and spacious, the restaurants are great, and the service is top notch. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was good, and I loved the pineapple pool. The place itself is lovely and really quiet, surrounded by nature. A couple of things could be better: the rooftop bar should be open all week, with longer hours, and I didn't appreciate being asked over and over whether we were going to the restaurant without a reservation. Having tips added by default felt a bit shady. The stay was very good, but there’s room to improve.
