We were told when booking that some light exterior painting would happen and wouldn't affect guests' comfort. Our crew worked nights, so we expected to sleep during the day. Instead, as soon as daylight came, there were jackhammers, drills, and shouting. Some crew members had to sleep in the lobby, by the pool, and even in the gym to get away from the noise. We raised the problem with our head of production, who made a formal complaint to the hotel. Today she received a reply saying the hotel couldn't do anything because the rest of the crew hadn't filed individual complaints, as though no one had noticed the eight people sleeping on the lobby floor. This showed no consideration for guests. It's a terrible way to mislead people instead of dealing with legitimate concerns.

This review is about Axis Golfe Instruction, not the Hotel. My wife and I rented an apartment on the golf course, separate from the hotel, for June 2025. Neither of us had played golf before. Andre, the Pro, gave us lessons, and Elena at the desk arranged them and helped us use the driving range and practice putting green. Andre was terrific. He patiently covered all the fundamentals and was considerate, caring, engaged, and very thorough. We spent about 5-6 hours on the range and putting green, and only a short time playing two holes. There were quite a few tournaments during our stay, so unfortunately we couldn't play nine holes. We can't say enough good things about Andre and Elena. They were personable, friendly, sweet, and provided amazing service. We hope to come back.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well. The gym is in a separate building, though, and it's closed on weekends.

4/10
The mattress had springs I could feel sticking out, and no matter how good the room might be, that made it hard to rate highly. I stayed for a business trip, but the gym doesn't open until 8 am, with no way to get in earlier, so I couldn't use the service I'd booked. It's a great place for golf, but otherwise there's little nearby and only one restaurant within safe walking distance. I know other, more accommodating Axis hotels in the area, which is why I rated this one so low.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I'd recommend it.
