The noise from the club downstairs was awful, and nobody even replied when I complained. It was just a normal weekend, so I guess this is how it always is. I’m walking the Caminho de Santiago and a sleepless night was the last thing I needed. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Ponte de Lima has plenty of good restaurants, but the places to spend the night can be really bad. Avoid this one.
The host didn’t warn us about the annual festivities in Ponte de Lima, and didn’t answer when I complained. The club below had speakers outside, blasting music until 4 am.
The nightclub below was too loud, with music playing until 4 am.
The rooms are small but pleasant and cozy, and check-in is self-service. Still, having a guesthouse above a bar that runs from 8 pm to 4 am and gets very noisy is a poor setup, maybe even unacceptable. Like others, I unfortunately have to advise against staying here.
The bed was really comfortable, and I liked how clean the hotel was and how it was decorated. It looks very new, too. Our room wasn’t big, but it was plenty for a four-day stay. The downside is the nighttime noise from a bar downstairs and another across the street. We managed with earplugs.
