We were booked into a double room but got upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment. It was clean, comfortable, and well laid out, with its own kitchen, which came in handy for an early breakfast before heading back onto the Camino. The location is right in central Ponte de Lima. Our apartment looked onto a quiet street with a lovely traditional supermarket nearby, stocked with a wide range of provisions.

After a night on the Camino, the suite was such a comfortable, luxurious upgrade from the twin room we’d booked. We both slept like queens in the apartment. The washing machine is free to use, which is much appreciated while walking. Thanks for a wonderful stay at Casa de Travessa!

Cristina went above and beyond for us. She’s the sweetest, and the place is beautiful, with everything you need close by, including restaurants, food markets, and clothing stores. We stayed in one of the brand new private rooms, which had a fridge, dishwasher, new showers and bathrooms, plus AC and heating for different times of year. We loved the room and location. Can’t recommend it enough, 11/10 😊

Christina welcomed me warmly and had lots of local advice. The rooms were very clean, and there’s a communal kitchen, free coffee and tea, a washing machine, and a drying area. It’s right in the town centre, 50 m from the Camino route, with shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. This was my favourite overnight stay during the week I spent walking from Porto to TUI.

We were lucky to find this place. We rented the two-bedroom apartment, which has a full kitchen and a nice living room. Big windows look out onto a classic little street, with a fruit vendor across the way. Christina, the proprietor, was super helpful. Highly recommended.
