The views were excellent, but the accommodation and sleeping setup were awful. There was nowhere indoors to sit and relax, and the kitchen, reception, dining room and lounge were all in one room, leaving no space for mingling or sharing experiences with the 20 or more other pilgrims. The food price wasn’t competitive with nearby restaurants, and there’s no nearby shop to buy food. There was just one shower and toilet for eight people, with no towels or bed sheets provided. The toilet was right beside the beds and had no soundproofing, so you could hear everyone’s farting and peeing. The smell of diarrhea was disgusting.

The host was lovely, and it’s a quiet spot in the countryside. There’s a dorm for 15€/night, and a modern-looking restaurant with a 10€ pilgrim lunch menu is a three-minute walk away. I wish the dorm curtains blocked out more light. Keep in mind that on Sundays the accommodation is either closed or has limited availability.
Suzanna cooked a delicious shared meal for everyone at the guesthouse when the nearby grocery store and restaurant turned out to be closed on Sunday. We had lovely wine from their vineyard and their own olive oil. The yard looked over the vineyard, and the frogs croaking in the pond made it feel like heaven. We got a wonderful welcome at this place right on the Camino. I had a private room with its own bathroom after calling directly instead of booking through booking.com. The modern, comfortable room was in a converted stable. Wifi didn’t work in my room, though it was strong in the common area. There was also an outdoor sink and clothesline for laundry. I loved the stay and highly recommend it.
The gardens around the accommodation were lovely, and our room was clean and cosy with hot showers. The host gave us a warm welcome and opened up for us on Sunday even though she was closed, with us being weary and wet Pilgrams. She went out of her way to help find things for dinner from her garden and home: fresh pumpkin, apples, herbs, cheese, eggs, pork, and their local wine. We cooked a delicious communal meal together. Highly recommend.
Everything felt cozy and refreshing here, and the gardens are beautiful. There’s a nice hammock outside too. The location is lovely, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it!
