Old Village Hostel

The accommodation itself was pretty terrible, even though the woman at reception was nice. The women's upstairs bathroom was broken, so we girls had to go downstairs and use either the men's room or another bathroom, and neither was great. The hostel was freezing, and I shivered going to and from the shower. They gave us small room heaters and blankets, and the beds looked neatly made with several sheets. But when I turned on the light to pee in the middle of the night, my roommate and I spotted bedbugs. There was no one at the desk overnight to tell. I went straight to a laundromat and washed all my things, but I'd already been bitten, and the bites appeared 2-10 hours later. It was a nightmare. When I told the receptionist in the morning, she didn't seem fazed. Maybe there was a language barrier, but she seemed to speak decent English, and I'm sure hostel staff know the word “bedbugs.” I wouldn't recommend it. It was 20 euro a night.
