Vinte-Quinta da Boavista

We were especially taken with the fruit trees all around us, and we’ll probably miss them most. The views were lovely and the whole place was full of nature. We also got to see the kitchen where Vinte makes its home-style products, and couldn’t leave without buying some of their goods. The breakfast was a highlight of our eight-day break. Each morning there was a beautiful spread of fresh ingredients, and we could choose how we wanted our eggs cooked by the wonderful chef Francesca. The delicious food, big tennis courts, relaxing massage and beautiful pool were among the services we remember most. The staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating, making sure we could enjoy as much as possible. The story of how Vinte became what it is today gives the resort a really warm, family feel. Our stay was so relaxing and showed us the beauty of northern Portugal. We’re already keen to return, and looking forward to seeing the newly built yoga spot in the mountains and the spa.

The grounds are a real paradise. We loved wandering around the estate, spotting rivers and ponds where frogs sang, and seeing the orange and lemon trees. The enormous lemons were beautiful and surprisingly flavorful. The pool was clean and well cared for, with comfortable benches that made it a lovely place to relax on a hot summer day. Families will also appreciate the thoughtfully designed playhouse and the more adventurous treehouse. Our room was spotless and beautifully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen and lovely, luxurious-feeling bedding. We slept so well. Breakfast was tasty and healthy, with lots of options, and it was special knowing many ingredients came from the on-site mini-farm. The scenery around Quinta da Boavista is surreal, great for cycling and hiking, and grocery shopping is quick and convenient nearby. We were struck by how beautiful and thoughtfully arranged the whole estate is. It’s a place full of wonder, and we’re already planning to return. We can’t recommend Quinta da Boavista enough.

The garden-to-table meals were fresh and delicious, and we even picked a few oranges right off the tree. There isn’t a restaurant, but there’s room service with lots of options. Breakfast was a highlight too, with plenty to choose from in a lovely room with a fireplace and traditional azulejo tiles. Quinta Vinte is a stunning property with breathtaking views and such welcoming service. Every detail felt high quality, from the towels and bed linen to the tableware and carefully chosen furniture. There are good hiking routes nearby, and the place is wonderfully quiet for relaxing. The sauna and pool were good as well. My favorite moment was unwinding by the outdoor fireplace under the stars, pure magic.

I came to Vince - Quinta Da Boavista for a cooking course, and it was just the break from family and work I needed. The grounds have orange and lemon trees, camellias and vineyards, with eucalyptus all around. The room design, breakfast and attentiveness of the staff were at a level I rarely find in Germany. The hosts were genuinely warm and made us feel at home right away. Be sure to try Francescas’s breakfast. Everything deserves a mention, from the fresh eggs and fruit to the good choice of marmalade and nuts. Her dinner was just as good. The massage and yoga exceeded my expectations too, and I’m an experienced Yogi. I imagine that’s because the hosts choose everything as they would for themselves and spend most of their time at the Quinta. I don’t write reviews often, but this peaceful retreat really deserves one. I’d happily recommend it to anyone.
